This paper proposes a fault recovery mechanism for industrial internet of things (IIoTs) using fog computing. In IIoTs, the node failures have to be recovered quickly. Thus, it requires a fault recovery mechanism that can provide low-latency services. In this paper, fog computing is used to realize it. Due to the location of fog nodes that is closer to the end devices, makes it able to minimize the latency service. Then, the machine learning algorithm is implemented to predict and process fault detection and recovery. To avoid overhead problems, each node is assigned a threshold value. This threshold indicates whether the fog node has exceeded data to gather and should transmit it to another fog node. The proposed mechanism is separated into four processes: stream data, fault detection, fault recovery, and dispatching result.
